Well, I would have given this four stars as the meter is rather hard to decipher. But decided to give it five as Schumacher has an easy to get to website where the PDF manual can be found in about 5 seconds. Actually it is explained well in the manual, but when it's been a year since using it you have to go online and look at the PDF again :)
I bought this when Montgomery Wards was going out of business from one of their auto-center stores. So that means it's been around for 10 years or so. Still works great.
I don't agree with the people here giving it a bad review because it is a manual charger. It clearly says it is a manual charger. It's not Schumacher's fault you don't know "manual == you are responsible to disconnect it when battery is charged"
While the lower power chargers (trickle, 1.5A, etc) can be had for about the same price in automatic, none of the chargers sporting 6amp charge (like this one) or 6+ amp charge are this cheap. The automatics with this much "oomph" or more all cost more.
